I have been working hard for the past month on a large order of crochet items, trying out new patterns and adjusting them, testing my skill. I love finding the yarns for this custom order, looking for unique wool and alpaca that has both the colour and texture I am aiming to achieve. These mushrooms in particular are extraordinary… I used pure soft alpaca which has a very soft velvety feel, just like real mushrooms. And the portobello has so many metallic greys and coppers, just like the real thing!
